Vacuum pump kit 1 is the basic vacuum pump kit available and is designed for road vehicles such as classic cars converted to servo vacuum operated brakes.

VAC-001/VAC-002/VAC-003

This vacuum pump is a compact 1KG pump, designed to work with modern efficient high-performance brake servos. It is ideal for classic vehicles which require extra vacuum as an additional booster to the existing vacuum system or systems which currently don’t have an existing vacuum supply, i.e. systems that have been upgraded or converted to a modern servo.

NB A one way valve is required between the pump and the servo if your servo is not fitted with one. If vacuum switch is mounted between pump and servo, a vacuum valve is required between pump and switch, but not required between switch and servo.

It is important to ensure that your servo and pipes have no leaks.  If your pump is running constantly or repeatedly on and off, it is essential to check thoroughly for vacuum leaks in the system.

 Please note that the switch adjustment is done via the screw in the end of the switch as follows:

•  Anti-clockwise (screw outwards) to increase vacuum
•  Clockwise (screw inwards) to decrease vacuum

Use a make/break diode relay to the switch (as supplied in kit VAC002) – non-suppressed relays will cause damage to the switch as will excessive running of the pump due to poor plumbing/leaks.
