Here are 4 injectors taken off a Rover V8 (Discovery 3.9EFI engine) THAT HAVE ONLY DONE 50,000 MILES!! All 4 injectors have a faulty spray pattern. Injector number 1 (far left) is the closest to being correct, but still gives a slight mist.
The problem with injectors not behaving correctly and giving faulty spray patterns is that the fuel cannot atomise properly, leading to poor combustion, which leads to power loss and wasting large amounts of unburnt fuel through the exhaust (hence increased emissions).
The Injector has the finest tolerances of any mechanical part on your engine. Regular servicing (approx. 24,000 miles) will not only maintain performance and fuel economy, it will prolong the life of your lambda sensor and your catalytic converter!!

We also offer a basic injector cleaning and servicing option, but this service does not include a pre and post injector cleaning report in order to compare the flow rates. This service is ideal for newly purchased injectors that have been unused for a period of time and require cleaning due to the injetor manufacturing process before use.

The test, clean, test, match injector service is similar to our injector full servicing package but we ensure your injector flow rates and spray patterns closely match however long it takes in the ultrasonic cleaning bath.
